This local Hawaiian girl misses the warm, breezy beaches of Oahu! And yet, I can hardly wait for Winter. In between working, house cleaning and preparing for the holidays, I've been daydreaming about ice climbing! I've also been picking up clothing gear for the winter - ski pants, mittens, gloves, hat, base layers, winter hiking boots, hiking poles, gaitors. And stocking up on hand warmers for both my hands and my camera batteries.
Since I've had to take time off from exercising to heal my knee, I've had the chance to take a look through "An Ice Climber's Guide To Northern New England". Now, if I can just figure out how to tell my husband not to rush his retirement, as I might not want to retire to Hawaii after all? Oh, hurry winter!
